A prayer to pray with your family
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil." Matthew 6:9-13
A prayer for your wife:
God, thank you for _________. You have entrusted me with her and blessed me with her. I thank you for who she is. Would you walk with her today. Lord, strengthen her, encourage her, bless her, and keep her. Give me the strength and wisdom to do the same. Lord, Thank you for __________. It is a blessing to be her husband and call her my wife. Thank you for her beauty, and character. Your word says who can find a wife of noble character? She is worth far more than rubies! God thank you for__________. Bless her and guide her today. Amen.
A prayer for your kid(s):
God thank you for __________. Thank you for trusting me to be their father. Please give me wisdom and grace to teach (him/her) about you, raise (him/her) well, and give you glory. Give me the words to say and the actions to take to guide them and show them your love. Lord, make me a good lens through which they view you. God, I love __________. Thank you that I get the gift of being their father. Amen
A prayer for fathers:
God, thank you for my family. Empower me, strengthen me, and give me the wisdom to love my family and guide them well. Purify my heart, Lord. Please give me patience, grace, strength, and courage. Lord, still my mind. Lord, forgive me, where I fall short. Thank you that you are a gracious father. Thank you for loving me. You call me son. For even in my sin, you gave your son to die on a cross for me. Lord, remind me that who I am rests in my relationship with you. Not how much I can make, or how successful I can be; but my worth is in you. Let me be an example of a good father to my children, my wife and my community. Amen.
