Thriving With Your Money

As a church, Highlands Fellowship wants to see God's best for your life. One of the ways to experience God's life for you as He planned, is for you to live generously. This of course means with your financial resources, but also with your time and the abilities He gave you. In this article, we want to share some free resources with you to help you live the generous life you were created to live.

We know that it's hard to be generous, even sometimes feels impossible when we are ourselves are struggling to "make ends meet". Part of being able to have freedom in your finances is to be smart with your money. One of the best first steps is to create a budget. Here are a few online budgeting tools that we have used.

  • Everydollar.com - EveryDollar helps you create a monthly budget so you can achieve your money goals. Say goodbye to money stress and hello to confidence in your financial future. Create your first budget in less than 10 minutes.
  • Mint.com - "When you’re on top of your money, life is good. We help you effortlessly manage your finances in one place."
  • You Need A Budget (YNAB) - "On average, new budgeters save $600 in their first two months and more than $6,000 their first year."

We know what it's like to sit down and do a budget and just not have enough resources at the end. If that's the case and you don't know where to start, we offer free and confidential financial coaching. Learn More Here.

Finally, if you're not ready to reach out for help we want you to know that God teaches us about money in the Bible. If you would like to learn more about what the Bible has to say about finances and being generous, we recommend reading one of these free reading plans available on the Bible App.
